OK...thanks for the info. I will keep an eye out for some Air China specials.
I have travelled a couple of times by air, but it was unplanned and short notice so I guess I just didnt have time to look for the cheapies.

I wondered if there was a Chinese equivalent of Flight Centre which is a one stop shop for low fares in a number of countries?

Or are the specials promoted on the Air China website?

I am with Chetwynd on the smoking issue. Smoking is probably the biggest problem I have with living in China. It is often the foreign smokers who are the worst, too.

For cheap airfares go to the aeroplane icon/tab at the top of most pages in TCG... you can find the available ticket prices

Thanks for the tickets tip Paul. Silly me for not looking at the site carefully enough.

I guess we have been spoiled in the west with the move against smokers in just about every environment. I imagine with time things might go the same way in China. Lets hope!
