independent travel in lhasa

Can anyone help? I am travelling in Tibet with an organised landcruiser group who will have tibetan travel bureau permit. However, I will be leaving the convoy in Lhasa, to make my own way back to China by train. How will I fare being in Lhasa for a couple of days without a ttb permit?

Did you come from Nepal? If you did, tou won't have trouble being in Tibet without your TTB permit, but you'll have trouble travelling to the rest of mainland China.
If you came to Tibet from mainland China then you won't have any problem going back.
