only if u visit tibet u need a apply for a visa, other part of china don't have restriction to traveller.
If u go to tibet u need to confirm a ur itinerary through a travel agent and copy the itinerary and fill in the form when u entre tibet.

there are some places in china that foreigner are not allowed to go.
So ask the local people to check is there any restriction. If u get caught, police in china may treat u as spy, so be careful.

GUEST69238 Hi,

I plan to go to Lhasa and need some information.

When is the best time to go there?? If I come from Jakarta, Indonesia, where do you think the easiest way to reach Lhasa?? any suggestions?? How long do you think I can spend in Tibet to see the hightlights?? How much does it cost for travelling there for 5 days including hotels and transportations...

Looking forward to hearing your inputs.

Regards,
Maria
