![]() | Hello Evening, Here in Australia and I think in most of the English speaking countries it is spelled "Ping Pong" It is a great game, needs very good hand/eye co-ordination, keeps you fit, and is usually played indoors so the weather doesnt matter. It is also a good game to watch on TV. The top players are just great. Steve |

![]() | Haha, I also remember the movie 'Forrest Gump'. Forrest came to China to play Ping-pong and there were Mao's head portrait hanging on the wall to show that it is in China. How ignorant the Hollywood! There are no Mao's portrait hanging on the wall at that time~! But I can understand, they just use the US way to show that it is China. |

![]() | Forrest came to China as part of the "Ping Pong Diplomacy" of the early 1970s. Mao was still alive and in power and starting to negotiate with Nixon. Were there really no Mao portraits at that time? This page: http://www.iisg.nl/ has many posters of Mao, including several from the early 1970s. |
