![]() | Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers has been suspended one game without pay for striking Minnesota Timberwolves guard Marko Jaric in the face, which was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations. The incident occurred last night with 58.7 remaining in the fourth period of the Lakers 117-107 (2OT) loss to the Timberwolves at Target Center. After getting his shot blocked by Jaric, Bryant flailed his arms and caught Jaric in the face with 58.7 seconds left in regulation .Bryant will serve his suspension tonight when the Lakers play the Milwaukee Bucks at Bradley Center. "I was very surprised to see a similar type of play occur," NBA vice president Stu Jackson said, adding that he'll likely issue a longer suspension if Bryant makes similar contact in the future. Evidently Kobe didn’t take any warning from last match (Lakers VS Spurs), in which he hit the Argentine Ginobili with his Elbow and then was suspended to the next match as penalty. ![]() |

![]() | Stu Jackson mustn't look at the play carefully, you'll notice that Kobe got hit first. After Jaric hit him, he swung his arm back and smacked him in the face. |

![]() | After the first incident against Ginobili I thought it was a bit harsh. But after seeing him does The exact same thing last night, it looks like a pattern. He's going to break somebody's nose doing that stuff. Just like Karl Malone and his wild elbows, Kobe needs to be reigned in before somebody gets hurt. |
