Bible in Hotels, standard facility in Western hotel?

TRAVELLERMIKE Points: Join Date: Mar 15, 2007 Status: Offline	I believe the practice of putting bibles in hotel rooms in the west was started by a charity called 'Gideon's' who I believe printed the bibles in question through funds raised through charity donations. I do not believe that hotels ever were expected to buy the bibles, and certainly no western government ever paid money to have bibles installed. I do hope that no Chinese official or hotelier will feel any obligation in regard of this matter. Any christian believer who fealt likely to be in need of access to a bible would travel with it, as could any other faith holder in regard of their own works of guidance.
