These knights was very easy enemy for one of the forefathers of the nowadays tatars - the kipchaks. The kipchak warriors were faster, more mobile and well armed. Therefor in some battles thousands of knights were destroyed. Later the Mongolians beated them more.

The knights were not organized. Because of their bad tactics and discipline they were not able to win against Kipchaks and Mongolians.

kipchak was one of important tribes of the empire of Mongolia?
