Please advice me on some good places to eat. Chinese and English places with good food.

Guangzhou is the home to the Cantonese style of cooking and there are so many really great Canton style restaurants, that they cannot be listed.

For Western food, most of the larger hotels have restaurants that serve many Western dishes. Also there is a restaurant called the Creamery which is excellent and serves great Western food.

To be honest, I cannot recall ever having a bad meal in Guangzhou !! :)
