The movie can be described as the most exciting World War II movie since "Saving Private Ryan". It was based on a real incident, which was shown in the novel by the same name, writed by William Craig, launched of Europe's most expensive input 85 million dollars, invited Oscar music master——James Horner("Brave Heart" & "Titanic"), repeats the most tragic history of the World War II battle of defending Stalingrad in the Soviet Union——people's heroic fighting against German scene. 　1942 winter, with lightning war Nazi Germany quickly took most of the territory of the Soviet Union, cruel fascist rided to the city of Stalingrad. Under the command of the supreme leader Stalin, Soviet troops overcame many unfavorable factors, like the shortage of equipment, materials, poor conditions, bravely fought with German. Hard fighting trained the sharpshooter Vasili Zaitsev(Jude Law), a fantastic hero flattered by the propaganda machine of Soviet Union. Front-line combat soldiers deeply inspired by his deeds, got more courage to defend motherland. However, Vasili's famous reputation caused jealousness of German army. They sent Maj. König(Maj. König) to assassinate Vasili. Consequently, two professional sinper of different camps met each other, and a fearsome death collision unavoidable.... 　"Enemy at the Gates" is based on the true story. Actually, you can find Vasili and his GF Tania Chernova in the history. 60 years ago, during World War II, Vasili's annihilation of the enemy more than 400 individuals for the amazing deeds was very popular, til now he also has the image of a hero to live in the hearts of the peoples of Russia. In the movie, English handsome actor——Jude Law personates the hero, dust on his face also could not conceal his noble character: a natural star! He is a rising star of the new generation of idols, also appreciated the popularity of his acting. Vasili's girlfriend——Tania Chernova, personated by Rachel Weisz, who is the actress of "The Mummy". She was able to adapt to different roles through mature pretty faces, owns greater plasticity. The most vivid role of the movie is German sniper——Maj. König.
