Hi FAERIEQUEENE, I think your writing must be very beautiful then.
I often use ink when I write in my school days. It is said that this way can practise the charaters better.
But in university I also return to use pencil much, which is the common way we use when we are kids. I find many students choose so, I can't speak clearly why acturally.

My handwriting has always been terrible, but still I make a point of writing things out by hand, especially Chinese study. It just doesn't seem right learning a language without learning to write it, and learning to write Chinese makes using a dictionary much easier and faster.

Once I was confident of my hand-writing and even awarded in a calligraphic competition during middle-school time. Now typewriting instead of the hand-writing. Whenever I take up my pen, I even can not write fluently immediately after my thinking... And what makes me disppointed is that my handwriting just becomes a grass style that nobody can recognize it...

Hi all,

Maybe we should write some words or characters on paper when we have spare time or when we would like to experss something. Just take it as a kind of relaxation. :-)

my handwriting is mediocre, Ellen... but i find it adds to the interest of composing in writing it out than in typing, if necessary i just type the whole thing out afterwards. The writing habit might come from the habit of taking notes in uni days. My husband meets many people in his work and he takes notes of everything in his bloc notes that if i'm to spy him i can really know his day...
