China's First Lunar Satellite Chang'e 1 to Be Launched latter this year

It is said that China will launch its First Lunar Satellite Chang'e 1 to probe the Moon latter this year. The satellite wiil be equiped with CCD camera, laser altimeter and other 6 Hi-tech equipment and its mission is to take the 3D map of the Moon with CCD camera and laser altimeter, explore where the 14 elements are distributed and estimate the thickness of earth on the Moon and the reserve of Nitrogen 3. The launch of Chang'e 1 is another milestone in China's space exploration.
