I think there isn't any, but last year I discussed it in class and students were very interested. But I believe it is dying out in the west (Aus and UK) anyway.

...oh...perhaps I should explain....

When I worked on board ship, we would send new sailors looking for tools and other things that do not exist.

They would walk around the ship asking the more experienced sailors where we kept the left-handed cresent wrenches and sky hooks....

Each of the experienced sailors knew the joke and would send them some where else to look for the non-existent tool or apparatus. It was good fun...and the new people always seemed to appreciate the joke...even though it was at their expense. In reality, it proved to be one of those things that bind people with common interests and concerns together.

Today it makes for a perfect April's fool joke....

:)

Most students in the high schools and universities intend to pulling the legs on that day. Some of then even play a joke with their teachers, who of course won't get angry in any case.

That's sad LP, such overreaction.

I remember one year in high school that students made some clocks run backwards, others placed the deputy principals car on bricks - two under each wheel ! he was not happy (officially, but I suspect it was a good joke in the staff room).
