Maradona's health "improves"

Argentine soccer star Diego Maradona's health "is acceptable and the results are favorable," Guemes Sanatorium director, Hector Pezzella, said on Friday.

The former soccer player was interned two days ago due to health problems caused by excessive drinking.

Maradona does not yet suffer any "liver complications" and he "continues stable and sedated, his health is improving," said the physician.

"The medical test results indicate he is in good health" and Maradona "will leave the hospital in about five or seven says" when he disintoxicates, Pezella added.

"There is not any need to carry out psychological tests. Today he had breakfast on his own and he relates well with the physicians. Diego is calm and under the effects of a sedative," he said.

How would Chinese people react to a Chinese player who abused himself in this way? Would they continue to follow his life or would they stop in disgust?
