Several years ago,a Chinese man named Li Yang has created a crazy method to learn English for Chinese people without English basis--to shout English out loudly and to speak as quickly as you can!
Why don't you try to learn Chinese in this way--just practice Crazy Chinese, haha!

Interesting idea, but I think I'll stick with my quieter, more bookish methods.

Having said that, I think the best method for learning spoken Chinese, especially at the beginner's level, is to just get out there into Real China- marketplaces, restaurants, shops, taxis, etc- and just speak. I guess that's a kind of Crazy Chinese. Anyway, that worked for me and I recommend it to everybody else.

I end up using that approach everyday. Works really well. The louder and quicker the better, especially for the taxi drivers. LOL
