Though I do appreciate and enjoy the variety of members in this community, I'd like to suggest a few things.

This forum is travel-based. It is about life and travel within China. And while this subject is broad and can provide an umbrella for any number of topics, there are some topics that should perhaps seek refuge and response elsewhere.

I would kindly suggest that those with heavy interest in military artillery and fleets or perhaps those searching for illicit substances or those interested in dating others or anything else unrelated to life in China with a focus on travel to find a forum host to those of like interest. I'm sure if you do you'll discover people equally as keen to engage in conversation with you on such a topic. The world wide web's got a lot out there...

But of course, any time you've got something to say about life in China or travel in China, this is the place for you! And all are welcome.

O, I'm not very sure about your post, wizard. But how do you think about the new boards of this community? Do you think that we should ONLY have travel-related boards? Or China-related boards??

Hello One and All,

This issue has been raised many times. I submit that almost any topic should be welcome. Why? Because presumably, we travel to other places to learn about their culture - attitudes, beliefs, lifestyle, economy, clothing, etc. No matter what the topic, we will learn about the Chinese people and their culture, and they will learn about those of us who come from foreign lands. Culture is not just pictures of buildings, people at work, etc. It is everything that makes a people who and what they are. So I just don't understand why this is such a big issue that seems to concern so many people. If you don't like a posting, don't read it, move on to something else.
