On the 4th in April, the president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced to free the 15 British sailors in his news conference. The Britain and US welcome the 15 sailors back. However, the relationship between US and Iran has not been improved. Yet the situation in Gulf is still tense. The spokesperson of US said that If Iran decided to improve the relationship between the two countries, they must stop the nuclear activity.US practiced her military maneuver in Gulf from 27th to 29th in March. Also Iran practiced its military drill about one week. But US has denied that they will set a war against Iran. The condition here is complicated.

I doubt whether Iran ever meant it as anything other than internal politicking... it strengthened its support from the people. So, it succeeded. The British Prime Minister 'won' too because he showed restraint and obtained the release of the prisoners by diplomacy. They couldn't have done better if they had arranged it between them !!
