ferry from shanghai to nanjing

Appreciate any information whether ferries run from Shanghai to Nanjing, and if so how long they take, and could I go round trip back to Shanghai in one day....thanks

I probably will, just thought a ferry trip would be interesting view of the river & country....any tips on the train? Thanks

There are over 20 trains a day taking from 3 to 5 hours.

it will you take you only 2 hours from shanghai to nanjing after April 18.

No ferries that I know of. The trains are good and fast though.

I think if the wo/man wanted to take a train s/he would have asked about a train! Now I am trying to find info on ferries from Nanjing to Shanghai and was hoping this site would work. Not trains. On your trip you can take trains. This is my trip. Thank you very much.

Hi Ellyse...How long is the train travel time / distance from Nanjing to Shanghai ?
How about long distance Bus travel time ?

Nanjing -- Shanghai is fastest on the D trains, within 2.5 hours journey time. Long-distance bus would take 4 hours, or about 5 hours if you're taking the buses from Pudong airport (further out).

GUEST18443 I also read this for FERRY info. The LP says there is one. The train might be quicker, but the ferry would provide lovely views of the river. Does anyone have any info on ferries NOT trains?!
