You may be surprised at this answer, because population of farmers in America takes up only a small proportion, and the agricultural production takes up a little in American GDP. However, this question just aims at telling American young generation that the crucial status of agriculture in a country's economy. We can see education about national conditions in America pay much attention to the agriculture. As for China, with more than one billion farmers out the of total population of 1.3 billion. How much attention has we focused on the education about national agriculture? Usually, common Chinese people do not like to talk about the issue of agriculture. Students avoid to choose agriculture as their major in college, and cadres avoid working in the agricultural department. 'Agriculture' in Chinese people's minde equals to the poverty, why?
