![]() | I used to learn some economics courses in college, such as accounting, statistics, micro-economics, macro economics, economical mathematics, etc. I've just learnt some basic theories, but I later found it was hard to apply some economical theories in our everyday life. Why? I wonder what's the usage of these courses? |

Please have a look once again and tell me which subject is straight-related with the DAILY financing?! Even MICRO-ECONOMICS is something more than daily financing. By the way - if you have a lot of money, your knowledge will be enough to manage them. The problem is that your money are not enough, as I can see. |

For example if you are a DOCTOR, a TEACHER, a POLICEMAN or a LAWER, you will practise in the REAL SOCIETY everyday. Yes, but if your major is something not useful in the people's life, OF COURSE you will think that ALL THE KNOWLEDGE IS NOT PRACTICAL! |

![]() | Maybe a good university degree is about education, about how to think and reason, rather than being able to apply it. I studied economics and politics but I have used very little of it in my work or personal life...but I learnt how to find information, reason logically and present an argument. These skills (rather than the knowledge) are what I believe education is about. Of course, if you move into a work area directly related to your study then you might also find all that information useful too. |
