Prince Harry is known as Cornet Wales in the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry, in which he is responsible for a troop of 11 soldiers and four Scimitar reconnaissance vehicles. It is reported that he will be deployed to Iraq next month. However, the latest report reveals that whether he will be deployed to Iraq has not be decided. There are two reasons. The first is that he will be the target of the Iraqi rebellions. Several days ago, the anti-government forces in Iraq announced that they made a plan to assassinate or kidnap the prince if he was deployed to Iraq. Harry is the third in line to the British throne. For consideration of this, he may not be sent to Iraq. The second is that the deployment of him to Iraq will cause more casualties of British soldiers in Iraq. The prince reacts that if he will not be deployed to Iraq, he will resign.
The Defense Ministry announces that the possibility of deploying Harry to Iraq is great because his arrival can encourage the soliders in Iraq.
Harry would become the first British royal to see active service since his uncle Prince Andrew flew helicopters in the 1982 Falklands War with Argentina if he is sent to Iraq.
