My Trip in Qinghai

Recently, I have a great interest in Tibet. I read a lot of books on travel in China such as China by Joe Cummings and Robert Storey. I also tried to find some excellent routes on the Internet. Finally, I got it. The itinerary goes like this.

Now I’ve finished my trip in Xi’an and Qinghai. My trip in these two cities was fantastic. I learned a lot about the history, the culture, the tourist attractions and the local people during my tour. Now, I’m here to share my experience in Xining, the capital of Qinghai province with you and express my thanks to Classic China for the considerate arrangement for me.

In the evening of last Thursday, my friends and I arrived at Xining and was transferred to the Qinghai Hotel. In the next morning, we paid a visit to the Great Mosque, which is on Dongguan Dajie. This mosque was built in the late 14th century. It is one of the largest in China’s north-west. Every Friday, large crowds of Muslims worship here. I was very lucky because it happened to be Friday when we visited there and I witnessed the large crowds and their worship. I was shocked by those worshippers’ faith. In the afternoon, we hiked to the Beishan Temple and had a good bird’s-eyes view over Xining from the temple.

We spent the next day near the Qinghai Lake and on the Bird Island. Nowadays are perfect times to see those birds on the Island. Many different birds inhabit on the island, such as wild goose, gulls, cormorants, sandpipers, black-necked cranes. The view there is pure and charming. I had a delighted time in Qinghai. No matter the guide and the servers of the hotel are considerate. I thank them very much. I swear that I will have a perfect memory of my trip in Qinghai.
