Dhaka to Chengdu or Kunming, HELP PLEASE!

NOSY Points: Join Date: Apr 29, 2007 Status: offline	Hi! I want to travel from Dhaka to China, preferably Kunming or Chengdu, in mid-August this year. I am also on a low budget, so what would you recomment for transportation? Are there airline connections, or good train/bus connections? Your help would be really appreciated!

RALPH610 Points: Join Date: Jun 13, 2007 Status: Offline	If you buy ticket now,it will take you about RMB600(include insurance) from Beijing to ChengDu after 19.30 by air in middle Aug,and the airplane ticket price from Beijing to Kunming is about RMB1000.And the cost from Beijing to Chengdu by train is RMB400(about 30hours in the trip),from Beijing to Kunming is RMB 600(about 40 hours in the trip).

GUESTREVERINE	I WANT TO VISIT SHANGHAI TROUGH KUNMING. BASICALLY DHAKA TO KUNMING BY AIR AND KUNMING TO SHANGHAI BY TRAIN. WHAT WOULD THE TOTAL COST IN US $? AND WHISH AIR LINES.

Kunming -- Shanghai by train... cost would differ according to your choice of sleeper/seat, as well as train.
K80 (journey time 36h48min): hard seat 281 RMB, hard sleeper upper/middle/lower bunk 474/491/509 RMB, soft sleeper upper/lower bunk 750/783 RMB.
K182 (journey time 42h35min): hard seat 296 RMB, hard sleeper upper/middle/lower bunk 500/518/536 RMB, soft sleeper upper/lower bunk 789/825 RMB.
