Formal or informal wear?

Should we pack formal wear to attend shows that are draw western audience like the opera or acrobat show?

It is not a must that you wear formal clothes. Just make yourself relaxed and comfortable.

I always pack a nice outfit for special events, but traveling light makes formal wear too difficult to carry.

Personally don't think it worth. Fashion is not quite as formal here as it might be anywhere else. Meaning that while there are some fashionalbe dressers here, it's moslty anything goes, anywhere, anytime.
Example are the ladies wearing 'after fives' as daywear and a road worker weilding sledghapmmer in a suit coat and trousers with canvas shoes on his feet.

Just dress comfortable smart casual and you'll be fine. Travel light, that's the key.
