| In America, there is a big nonprofit organization established to help American families to adopt Chinese orphans. Now its membership has reached 80 thousand. New York Times reported that adopting Chinese children was very popular in Wall Street. In 2006, about 6,500 orphans were adopted by merchants and bankers in Wall Street. |

| American people are so kind! But I wonder why there are so many orphans in China? Usually they are discarded due to these different reasons, including sex discrimination, the family planning policy, inherent deformity and poverty. It's better for these orphans to live in a wealthy family than to live in the orphanage. Especially, they can receive better education, but I wonder how much Chinese culture they will learn . |
