Does anyone know whether there is a Cirrus ATM in Kunming yet? There wasn't one 28 years ago, but things must have changed.

You'll find plenty of them. Every bank has ATM's and most have Internatonal - Cirrus ATM's

it must really been ages since u last visited kunming or China - yes most local Chinese Banks atm machines are now "cirrus" enabled - and hence u should have no problem getting yr money in local yuan from these atms. If here should be some difficulty - suggests u try the Bank of China atms which are avail in almost every chinese cities and their atms should be ok and their atms are all selectable to the english language.
