![]() | You may hear GDP and DNP. Both repectively mean Gross Demestic Product and Gross National Product. But do you know GOP? It stands for Gross Ocean Product. It reflects th ocean economy's contribution to the whole national economy and connects ocean economy accounts with national economy accounts. In the past, we only focus on the increase of ocean industries. With the help of GOP, we can conduct a micro control of ocean economy operation. The system of accountings of GOP is in accordance with SNA (system of national accounts). From this year, China will issue the preliminary data of GOP in the first quarter and publicize the final data of GOP on China Marine Statistical Yearbook in the fourth quarter. Through GOP data, we can clearly understand the development of ocean economy and make policies and strategies of ocean economy. |
