Spending a few days in Beijing

On my way to Hangzhou I plan to take a few days out in Beijing. I'm going to be located near the Xuanwu and Fengtai districts. Is there anything within a short drive or walking distance near there? Should I just buy myself a taxi all over Beijing? Any suggestions are welcome!

Xuan Wu district is very small,you can walk aroun Liulichang area,I think you will like it:-)
