![]() | On June 3, British media reported that the Ministry of Defense of Britain plans to withdraw his troops from Iraq in 12 monthes and to focus on defeating the Taliban of Afghanistan. However, this plan has aroused discussions inside of the Ministry of Defense. Brown, the successor of Blair said that he will not set the timetable for his troops. The Sunday Telegraph said that Britain has lost about 149 soliders in Iraq and several hundred were wounded. The number of the British soldiers has decreased from 7100 to 5500. And there are about 6000 soliders in Afghanistan now. The government plans to increase the number to 7700. However, some of the generals do not support this plan. If British troops really withdraw from Iraq, the US side will have some 'troubles'. Any comments? Waiting for your opinions. Picture: British soldiers fighting in a battle in Afghanistan. ![]() |
