The boundary of North China and South China

We always talk about North China, South China, Northeast, Northwest, etc. etc. But do you know the boundary of North China and South China??

Yeah, I used to live there. Along the Yangtze River there is a huge metropolis called Wuhan. Wuhan consists of 3 large towns and has a combined population of more than 8 million people. East of the Yangtze River is WuChang and it is called the educational district of China because all of the colleges are there. To the Southeast is HanYang District (pronounced HaiYang by its' residents). There is a nice temple called Gui Yin, with some very old Buddhist statues. In the northeast of Wuhan is the metropolitan and commercial district of Wuhan called Hankou. Hankou has many skyscrapers and a nice walking park and street along the river.
Because Wuhan is so large, it is very bicycle "unfriendly". The police will warn you to ride your bicycle on the sidewalks instead of challenging the overcrowded roads. Also, commuting from WuChang to Hankou has become a major problem because of road construction and overcrowded buses.
I call Wuhan the boundary because it is known as the "central hub" connecting southern China with northern China. It is convenient to travel almost anywhere in China from Wuhan.
