![]() | With increasing demands for power, the government in China continues to construct power supplies throughout the mainland. I had never seen a dam project before I took a weekend trip to ShuiFu and Western Grand Canyon Hotsprings. This dam project will be completed in less than 1 year and will flood what is known as the Grand Canyon of the Jiansha River. Because of this, a large, natural hot spring will be lost, as well as an entire destination resort complete with executive lodging, hotels and beautifully landscaped grounds. Is this a wise move for China's future, or just another "sell-out" for the sake of the Renminbi? I look forward to hearing your comments. __WINDENERGY__ ![]() |

![]() | China is thirsty for energy and power because it is developing fast. On the other hand, it cause more damages to the environment. The payment for development is too heavy. |
