Band of Brothers, a TV series shot by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, is a famous one in US. I believe that most of Americans are familiar with this TV series. It is adapted from a novel written by Stephen Ambrose.

It describes the story about a company named Easy Company of 506 Regiment, 101st Airborne. They participated in Normandy Invasion, liberating Netherland and other important battles during the WW 2. On Novemver 30th 1945, this company was disbanded. However, they will be always remembered in history.

There are some photos of those heroes.

Band of Brothers was a superb series and I have seen it several times. It is filmed very similar to Saving Private Ryan so at times you feel you are really there in the scene. It shows war as it really was and doesnt try to make it glamourous. Ask anyone who took part in WW2 and they will tell you how realistic it is.
