In July 5th 1947, Mac Brazel, a farmer heard intense thunderstorms at night. Next day, he found a large amount of unusual metal debris scattered on his farm. Brazel found that those metal pieces were very unusual and contacted the Roswell Army Air Field. On July 8th, a wreckage of a flying saucer and several dead bodies were discovered from a ranch near Brazel's farm. On July 9th, the Roswell Daily Record reported that a UFO was found by the army. Major Jesse Marcel, the Intelligence Officer at the 509th Bomb Group, was involved in investigating this incident. He disclosed that the wreckage had been flown from New Mexico on to higher headquarters. On July 10th, a press conference was issued. At that conference, Roger Ramey,Commander of the Eighth Air Force at Ft. Worth Army Air Field claimed that it was a weather balloon, not the UFO. However, in recent days, the son of Jesse Marcel revealed in his book--The Roswell Legacy that what had been discovered in 1947 was the wreckage of a UFO. He said that his father asked him to tell the truth to the world. It is said that this book will be released worldwide on July 5th, 2007 at the 60th anniversary celebration. Any opinions? Do you beileve that there are UFO and ET in the universe? Kapustin Yar is the Soviet Union/Russia's most sensitive air base. The documentary describes how the Soviets engaged in dogfights with UFOs in order to capture and reverse engineer their aircraft,

TRAVELLERMIKE Points: Join Date: Mar 15, 2007 Status: Offline	Certainly mankind cannot be alone in the Universe - but, however it was staged, the distances make it impossible for us to hope get to know the neighbours in other star systems within our own galaxy, let alone in other galaxies. I don't expect ET to visit us here any time soon, nor do I believe it has happened in the past.
