Uyghur Musical Instruments

I would like to know where I could possibly purchase any small but yet also playable (ie not just for show) Uyghur musical instrument in Xinjiang, and approximately how much it would cost. Not picky about what kind of instrument it is as long as it's a plucked-string instrument. I guess Kashgar might be the best/easiest place, but any leads for anywhere in Xinjiang would be helpful.

In Kaxgar, there is a 'musical instrument village' in Shufu County.
Perhaps you can have a try there.

GUESTANNE Greetings, I am looking to purchase by mail a uyghur tamborine/dap. I do not want it painted - but just natural. Any size is fine. We saw them when we were in Urumqi this last May and did not get one and of course did not see them again. Help ! Anne in USA
