Moving on Huatugou -- Charklik (Ruoqiang)

What are the chances of finding a way to move on from Huatugou (western Qinghai province) to Charklik (aka Ruoqiang, southeastern Xinjiang province) within 1 day? Whether it be 4WD, truck, taxi... whatever kind of vehicle, we don't care.

Has anyone got any contacts for this route? Phone numbers, emails, whatever.

We'll be travelling in early July, and I speak Chinese at a native level.

There's a lot of information about this recently posted at the Thorn Tree Forum at lonelyplanet.com.
Do a Google search on Huatugou and you'll see links to some of the threads.
Or go to thorntree.lonelyplanet.com and use their search function, but sometimes it's not very thorough.

Heh, in case you didn't realise, I was the one posting the same stuff on the Lonely Planet ThornTree forum. I was trying to see if anyone on this forum had more information to add. Thanks anyway. :)
Anyway, I've been there and done that, posted the updated information on that forum if anyone's interested. The search function isn't perfect but works much better now than before.
