How widespread is online travel in China

I am a travel industry professional from India, who also dabbles a lot in travel technology & online travel..

In India, the phenomenon of online travel is catching up fast and is growing at over 50% per annum...it has its +s and -s, but overall the travel scene is changing quite fast owing to online travel...

I wish to know what the state of online travel - online travel booking, online travel communities etc - in China is

Any thoughts and inputs from the members will be most welcome
