Hostel advice and safety

I will be traveling for about three weeks within China and will be staying in hostels most of the time. Any tips about hostels and safety for my things and myself?

Exactly the same as you would do anywhere else in the world that you are travelling.
Keep your valuables on you at all times or lock them in the sage provided by the hostel.

Yes. Anywhere, the same situation!
You'd better take your valuables with you, just leave some unimportant things in the hostels. I am doubtful that ordinary hostels can provide enough safety sage for guests.

For better safety,
Use hotels Three star or upper rated.
