So Katrina,
we all have the same feelings? So are we so different?
We all laugh and smille and love the same way.
I think perhaps the wedge word that has been driven between us is " Culture"

Well siaid, Dodger. "We all laugh and smille and love the same way.
I think perhaps the wedge word that has been driven between us is " Culture" "

It is culture that wedged/welde us together.

Well, it is easy to get on with humorous people, but I have met several stiff and dull guys, do you know where they are from? What are their nationalities?

DYLAN0428 , you are a funny guy. I believe you have a good sense of humor. I have browsed your replies in this forum. I have to say you are Scrooge,(kidding , no intention to offend you),since you are so mean on your words, your reply is no more one or two sentences.Usually, do your wotrds carry too much overtones? It is beyond my understanding. Next time, can you air your opinion more clearly? I am ready and glad to share more opinion with you.

First, I will not speculate on which nationality has the corner on the humor market.

I can say that I have an intense sense of humor. I can find humor in most aspects of daily life.

I find humor, in many respects, almost every time I log in here at TCG.

My humor can be very dry and subtle.

My Lao Po now ‘gets’ my humor and on occasion, will try to pull it off herself. Sometimes she 'nails' me good !!

I find it quite humorous, that many from the UK do not think Americans are funny.

Actually, cultural differences can impact one's perception of what is humorous and what is not.

Some studies have shown a link between intelligence and humor, as it requires the exercise of 'lateral thinking.'

All I know is, that I try to laugh every day. And my Lao Po makes me laugh very often.

Roger,
I take it that you are from the UK where humour is concidered the ultimate art of witt.
My oldest son is now in the UK and is just starting to undertand just what funny realy means.
Yes, I miss the quick return lines that have you keeping on your toes untill they call "time"

Didn't you notice I did not spell humor with a 'u' ??

No, I am not a 'Red Coat' !! :)

See, another laugh at TCG.

For those members, who are not familiar with early US history, the 'Redcoats' were the soldiers of the British Army, who occupied America in the mid to late 1700's.

The 1992 movie, The Last of the Mohicans, has some very historically accurate scenes of Redcoats, American Patriots, the French, and the Indians, all fighting for their own interests. An excellent DVD edition, with brilliant filming and sound track is available in many stores.
