In 2005, China's gender ratio of new-born baby was 118-88 (male-female), which far exceeds the normal gender ratio(104-107). In some provinces such as Jiangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Anhui and Henan, the figures are more alarming, which have reached 130-88 . Some experts say that if the unbalanced gender ratio problem is not contained effectively, it will cause more serious social problems, such as rising crimes, illegal marriage, human-trafficking, abducting women, prostitution and malicious rape. The causes for the unbalance are varied. The traditional gender stereotypes, sex discrimination against women, the advanced medicine are all contributory factors. 37,000,000 men will have to be Bachelors? Or some other way out?

The guys can wait until they're 40 or 50 years old and then get married to these over-populous women. The other solution is to legalize polygamy, one woman can have more than one husband, just like it used to be for men with multiple wives.
