1. Listen carefully, don’t be afraid to ask your client to repeat themselves
2. Remember your client is most likely a seasoned traveler and LANGUAGE the issue
3. Be aware that your potential client may be well researched and knows more than you do
4. Expect to ask questions that you may never have thought to ask before
5. And be prepared to translate the answers
6. Keep your client informed so he/she can make intelligent decisions/choices
7. By all means offer advice but don’t expect it to be followed
8. Remember your client has worked hard to get to China without you and would appreciate you helping him/her to save precious time and money
9. Please don’t be afraid to admit you don’t know everything or something, just try to find out as quickly as possible
10. Translate, don’t opinionate
