![]() | Hi, I'm a young-at-heart 50's aged woman who is going to be in Beijing for an academic conference until Aug 22nd. After that I would like to travel by train to the Jiuzhaigou Valley Nature Preserve and/or to Shanghai. Actually, I am flexible about where to go since this is my first trip to the area. I'd do anything interesting - the Yangtze River, Three Gorges, an inexpensive seaside resort, etc. I am potentially interested in a traveling companion for all or part of the trip. As of now, I need to be back in Beijing by Aug. 30. I am an easy-going versatile kind of person, interested in arts, culture, scenery and rural life. I don't normally drink but I do smoke an occasional cigar. If you smoke cigarettes, you'd need to keep it outside:-). I like to walk, either cities or rural areas, and would like to keep this trip as non-touristy as possible. Except maybe for the nature preserve. I don't speak the language, however, and don't know how much of an obstacle that is in a rural area. No tour guides or other industry professional need respond. Thanks. |
