The first cross zebra crossing of mainland China recently appearred in Hangzhou. Do you like it?

It looks nice but will it work and is it safe? When I visited Taiwan and tried crossing every driver wanted to run me over.

Unbelievable!!! Can zebra crossing be built so?? Will it take some effect to help those pedestrians? Is it safe?

It is not convenient. Personally I think it is better to erase the two zebra crossings. If much people take those two as shortcut, the zebra crossing may be too crowded.

notoriously in china cars never stop at lights and crossings... then this one becomes very very dangerous!

Actually I don't think cars is notoriously but the bicycles and pedestrians. Many bicycles and pedestrians just ignore the Red Light and walk out-of-order. Policeman are strict to cars but seldom scold bicycle riders and pedestrians.

It makes no difference. In China and some other countries, zebra crossings are generally ignored by motorists, anyway. Cross the roads with extreme caution - at zebra crossings or not.
