GUESTMARK I am thinking of travelling from Shenzhen to Hong Kong. I have a Residence Permit in China. How long does it normally take for me from the moment I leave Shenzhen Airport and arrive at Kowloon station?

During weekdays, Bao'an airport to Luohu station approximately one hour. From Luohu to Lowu takes about 15 minutes at the immigration, and from Lowu to Kowloon about 30-40 minutes.

If you're wanting to commute to Hong Kong, any hotel near the Shenzhen train station would be fine, location-wise. Cross the border on foot and take the MTR to wherever you want to go in Hong Kong.
Shenzhen airport -- Kowloon MTR journey time would depend on what form of transport you're taking, time of year as well as time of day!
I think the most direct route from Heihe to Hong Kong by train would be Heihe -- Harbin -- Beijing -- Hong Kong. Note that the Beijing -- Hong Kong train only runs every other day.

GUEST48166 I am trying to organise a long weekend in Hongkong from northern china. It is less expensive to fly to Guangzhou or Shenzhen but I want the quickest route and simply route into Hongkong. Which is easier, Guangzhou or Shenzhen?

You can enter HK for 90 days but you definitely need a visa to Mainland China. It is advisable for you to get your Chinese visa at Chinese Consulate in Ontario, less hassle. Previously some hotels in HK provided tour to Shenzhen using group visa (also some travel agents, such as CTS may provide you visa with a minimal fee).

You get a 90-day visa-on-arrival for Hong Kong. Are you going only to Shenzhen, or also other places in mainland China?
