My dad is more maternal than my mother. He seems to enjoy being a parent a lot more than my mother does. He calls me and my brother very often, listens to our daily ups and downs and is very easy going. My mom on the other hand, is very strict and does not participate much in her children's life. The men in my family (dad and brother) are maternal. They really enjoy caring for other people, almost like a woman. In my family, my dad does more so maybe he has more say in things.

CHYNAGYRL, you are blessed with such a thoughtful father, aren't you? A maternal dad cares about your evevryday life and listens to your ups and downs. I think he just wants to show you how much he loves you and your brother. A really nice father!
