![]() | I have a visa for mainland china since I'll be going there next month. How hard is it to get a single visa changed to multiple entries? I'd like to go to HK for a day or two. |

![]() | I don't think you can change from singleto multiple but you can apply for a new visa with two or multiple entries. |

![]() | Can I do it while I'm there? I don't want to get stuck. Is it even worth it if I'm in guangzhou? |

![]() | ne difficulty I forsee in renewingion the mainland is that I think they will cancel the exisiting visa, so you would need to apply for a dual or multiple entry. I would just apply in HK, pay an agent, pay the fast process fee to the consulate and get it the same or next day. Many foreigners have to go to HK for visas...and I have only ever heard one problem. I have done it, so have many contributors in here. |

![]() | There are always some limits on the visas issued by Chinese Embassies or Consulates. You have to leave China mainland each 30 days (or 60 days, 90 days). Visas issued by Public Security Bureau (only when you are already in China mainland) are more flexible, especially F visas. They can be 3 month (0 or 1 entry), 6 month (0, 1, 2 or multiple entries), 12 months (multiple entries). During the visa valid period, you can use the entry whenever you'd like to or don't use it at all. ![]() |
