In many families, the couples have changed the traditional gender roles: Men do housework, while women work outside to make money.(Traditionally,Men makes money to support the whole family, while women stayed at home to do housework.) Today, a new reality is that both husbands and their wives have to work outside to make money, otherwise they may not make a living, or live a decent life.( Some rich business tycoons are exceptions.) However, sometimes, suppose that at least one of the couple has to stay at home to take care of children and do housework, who should be the best candidate, Husband or Wife? Househusband or Housewife? Is a man who is willing to be a househusband a coward? If you are a male, are you willing to be a househusband? If a lady, are you willing to work outside while make your husband become a househusband? Ready to hear your voices!

DAVEC Points: Join Date: Apr 14, 2007 Status: Offline	I would not stay at home whatever the circumstances, I believe it is my responsibility to go out and get the money and provide for my partner. If she wants to work as well then that is her choice but I would not expect it of her.

2468 Points: Join Date: Jun 5, 2007 Status: Offline	LOL i dont think a women would do the work and the husband stay at home a rich women wouldnt marry a man like that usally if they are both poor they will work or if they have important jobs. but if it is a rich man with bussiness a women would stay home i wish i could find a rich women to do all the work lol

My older son is a house husband for practical reasons. He has suffered a work injury and cnnot earn a good income but his wife is an accountant with agood income. Unusually, he wanted children and she didn't want to stop work to look after kids. So the logical solution is that he stays home and she works...he loves coffee mornings with the mums, then he watches sport on TV while he feeds the nippers, ... It works for them, flexibility is the issue not stereotype roles and pride.
