 | hi everyone! i have a few questions... how far is Shanghai to Yangshou and what how long does it take by bus or train and what is an average price ticket one-way ? also, is this a great place to visit? i heard it was. but havent been to this part of China before thanks!!! |

| It is about 1660 kilometers from Shanghai to Guilin. If you take the train, it will take about 25 hours. What kind of seat do you want to have, hard sleeper, soft sleeper, hard or soft seat? The hard sleeper are 41, 42, 44 US dollars for upper berth, middle berth and lower berth. Guilin surely is a place you can not miss when visiting China. There are many tourist attractions, such as Li River, Reed Flute Cave, Longsheng terrace. I am sure you will be attracted by those when visiting there. |

| Yes, Johnny is right. There are no direct train or bus from Shanghai to Yangshuo. You need to get firstly in Guilin, and then change a bus to Yangshuo. Yangshuo is no doubt a great place. Rural scenery, ethnic minority culture and the famous West Street are all worth a try. | There's no direct bus/train/flight for Shanghai -- Yangshuo. You'll need to take a train Shanghai -- Guilin (21+ to 23.5 hours depending on which train you take) and then a bus to Yangshuo (about 1+ hour). You could also fly Shanghai -- Guilin, a good budget airline would be Spring Airlines (http://www.china-sss.com). Look on http://www.yangers.com for more excellent information about Yangshuo. |
