![]() | it shouldn't take more than 4 hours by train. I'm pretty sure there are even trains that can do it in less than 3. Its a nice place to visit with plenty of sights. |

![]() | Hangzhou can also be reached from Shanghai Pudong Airport by bus - this was only about a two and half hour journey, and cost 100rmb pp when my wife and I made use of it last year. Hangzhou is definately a nice place to spend a few days. The Lin Yin Temple and the Six Harmonies Pagoda (Liu He Ta) are two recommended places to visit, but we also found the City and its people very warm & welcoming. |

![]() | There are a lot of trains from SH to HZ, mostly takes about 2 hours. The price is different depends on which train you choose, and which type of seat you choose. West Lake is a must see in HZ. |

![]() | The fastest train only take 1hour 40 mins from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Except the normal scenic spots like west Lake & Lin ying Temple, I recommend a new released placed which named XIXI Park ( it is natural & beautiful even many locals didn't know it. ) Enjoy your trip! ![]() | Fastest trains are 1h20min (D trains) and these have 1st class and 2nd class seats. 2nd class is usually good enough for me, these cost around 50 RMB each way. Hangzhou is definitely worth visiting for a day or even overnight trip. Recommended sights: Lingyin Temple, West Lake (personal preference for Liu Lang Wen Ying area), Yue Fei Temple, Hefang Jie pedestrian street etc. |
