![]() | Have you heard of Barents Sea Collision Incident? Due to that incident, Su-27 became famous in the world. On Sep. 13 in 1987, a Norwegian AF P-3B scout was flying over the Barents Sea. A Su-27 was ordered to intercept P-3B. The pilot of Su-27 warned P-3B to leave Russian aerospace, but P-3B still left there. Then the pilot flew underneath P-3B and used Su-27's fin hit the prop of P-3B's outboard starboard engine, cutting an eleven centimer long piece. This made P-3B damaged and left.
