On July 23th, a friendly match was held between Manchester United and Shenzhen Shangqingyin. The red devil defeated Shangqingyin 6 to 0. The famous footballers including Giggs, Rooney, Nani, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eagles and OShea each scored one. Chinese player Dong Fangzhuo staged at 60th minute. However, he could not score till the end of the match.

6-0, this is the difference between Chinese footballers and the World's. Chinese footballers have to work hard to catch up with the international players.

Long way ahead!

Leonardo, don't be too hard on Chinese players, some Chinese players are joing bigger clubs abroad, teams like Man Utd, this will improve the standard of your players and they will in turn be able to help up and coming Chinese players in the future, I believe China will have a very good team in years to come.

Westnorwoodgas, you are optimistic about the future of Chinese football. The management of Chinese footballl team have some problems. Meanwhile, those footballers' qualies are not satisfying. I really appreciate what Bora Milutinovic said:"the attitude is the most important."

Miss him.

Hi Kevin.
Yes I am optimistic for the future of Chinese football, I know the English FA have been to China to give advice on how we run our leagues and our academies.
The team I support ( Bristol Rovers ) have a young Chinese player in our reserve team, he is unable to play for our 1st team because he is only on a student visa but he seems to have a good future.
