| Well, I can understand his love toword the little dog. It is reported that his children do not accompany him and he feels alone so that he bought this dog to accompany him. However, it is not wise to spend so much to hold a funeral for this dog. |

| I suppose it is an action of showing affection. Probably he has no kids or human relatives or they are not as good to him as his pet dog ! Who knows, he may even spend much more when his kids' funeral comes along. It is his money. He can spend it in whichever way he likes. Nothing wrong with spending it on a dog - at least dogs are more loyal than human, generally. |

| This old man have children. Maybe they are too busy and do not have time to accompany their parents. It is not unusual in China. Children are always busy with their work so that their parents are ingored. Those parents feel lonely so that they need to find someone to accompany them instead of their children. |

| Dog's are supposed to be man's best friend and this man loves his dog so much he feels it worth. I wouldn't spend so much myself, but it's down to choice. I used to have cats and if one died we used to bury the cat in the garden. |

| dogs are like children. i take care of my dog like its my child. its not because his kids are busy. the dog was a true friend to him. |

| According to me it was fully worth because as we all knows that pets are like our children,and old man didn't have any child and he got fully happiness with their dog.so its worth. |
